Friday Night Sew In October

Well i started my day with this kit. Spitting into a tube(not fun) to have my DNA tested to discover where my ancestors come from. Now to wait 6 to 8 weeks for the result.

Next up was some cooking
Chocolate chip cookies followed by
chocolate chip & banana muffins.

Then last night i started stitching this lovely little hanging
I ironed the transfer on about 2 days ago & it's disappearing on me. :(.

I finished these little ornaments earlier in the week. They were bought precut so they were done in a couple of hours.
Pop over to visit Wendy our very lovely hostess for the links to see who all joined in last night & the projects they worked on.

Happy Stitching,

I started my day exactly the same way. I'm looking forward to the results. Family history is fun (and frustrating at times).
Those ornaments are very sweet. Pity about the transfer.

Hi Jeanette - oh that's annoying about the transfer fading so quickly, I wonder why that's happening?... how interesting with the DNA test...

love your sweet finishes Jeanette! Christmas is coming way too quickly for me this year! Don't you hate that with transfers??? They either stay on forever or they've gone in a day or two! Still, love that hanging, and Mr RNG must be impressed too...he chose you this month as the winner for fnsi! Congrats! Can you send me your postal details please?
Sugary hugs xoxox :o)

That's such a pretty stitchery, pity it is fading so quickly, maybe you could outline it with another pen? The ornaments are so cute.. xx

I'd love to do the DNA test , would be fun to know who my ancestors are . Too bad the stitchery pattern is disappearing, can you stitch real quick. Cute little ornaments 😊

I love this stitchery. I have it in my lounge room to inspire me on those days when one feels jaded. What did you end up doing? Stitch like crazy, retrace or stick it in the 'one day I'll deal with this' pile?

#4 Chookshed Stitchers Challenge.

At the start of March i had this pile of blocks. I couldn't get my head around how to turn all these differing block sizes into a quilt...
