My Week and a Giveaway

Last week when reading blogs i came across a blog with some beautiful crinoline china. Then i read the magic word eBay. Well did that ring a bell so i went surfing. At first no success but i did find a lovely 3 tiered cake plate that i've been looking for for a while. I haven't received it yet. Then i had the inspiration to type in Crinoline Lady. As you can see from these 2 photo's i found a lovely table runner & these lovely bits & pieces of china.
Then on Friday i went into my local store for the fabrics for the Redwork cushion swap. I can't decide between 2 patterns so i bought fabric, ribbon, ric rac & red/white daisy chain for both. The bottom 4 fabrics i also bought are for a binder cover for my SIL's birthday. Pattern can be found at Joy's web site. On my way home i dropped into the 2nd hand shop down the street from me. I was in luck the lovely china teaset i've been eyeing off for a few months now was still there so i lay-byed it. This is a lucky find as it all there having survived a trip from Scotland as a lot of the sets the shop owner brought over had pieces broken from them when customs searched the shipping container.

Sunday night was pizza making night. I tried out Joe's pizza base & tomato sauce recipes. Also added were Joe's marinated wild mushrooms. Very tasty. This is only 1of the 3 pizza's made that night.

The lady whom i bought the Crinoline china off happens to live in the same suburb as me so i went back & bought the 3 lovely pieces.

Who could resist beautiful china? I have been sewing in case you were wondering. I've prepared the ???? i'm making for the Easter swap & I've been stitching block 2 of verandah views.

#4 Chookshed Stitchers Challenge.

At the start of March i had this pile of blocks. I couldn't get my head around how to turn all these differing block sizes into a quilt...
