I'm late.....

......for posting the 1 Xmas Item A Month which Narelle runs for us. I had the wallhanging ready to go last Wednesday. I'd cut out & sewn the 1 inch squares together but family & things got in the way & i didn't get back to the machine until yesterday.
Michelle's beautiful Christmas Tree pattern. I love the way Michelle's way of working with felt & fabrics.

Last week another yummy parcel arrived from Michelle for me.
I'd ordered the pumpkin kisses pattern, felt, Valdani thread & stand.
Included was those yummy candies & pink felt. Thanks Michelle.

FNSI & things

I had planned to get lots of things done for FNSI but unfortunately things didn't pan out. All i did was trace this stitchery out & start it.
I don't normally use a hoop but a fellow blogger mentioned the one she uses & as my osteo is causing me some issues i thought i'd try this hoop out to see if it helps me any. Its just 4 pieces of rounded plastic clipped together & then 4 pieces of curved half pieces of plastic over these to hold your fabric.

Last Wednesday i finished this bag
It's made from Papillon charm squares. On Friday another parcel arrived from Michelle. Always so nicely wrapped.
Here's Bella inspecting the parcel in case it's anything for her
Silly cat it's nothing for you. It's all for me.

Felt, threads & hanger for Michelle's  Folk Art Christmas Tree, candy & extra felt. Thanks Michelle & the Fuzzies.

Bella sure has grown since we got her & is still not her full size yet. :)

Mothers Day Gift.

Finally the day came when i could use this:
I've only had it in my hot little hands since it was announced Jersey Boys was finally coming to Brisbane. So off i go to see

these fabulous boys. (I've only been waiting too since it was first in Melbourne. :)) The show was so great i want to go again before they leave Brisbane. I had a really great seat too. Well worth the money the ticket cost. Well done guys for a fantastic stage show. Whilst there i treated myself to a few souvenirs,

a programme,
cd,
t-shirt & this is the bag i was given to carry it all in

finishes & things

During the week i worked on the robes i mentioned cutting out in the previous post. I got all 3 done in time to hand them to the people wanting them.
Not hard to make just time consuming. Saturday i went on a day trip out to to Toogoolawah. Our patchwork group was meeting up in the backyard of a member of the Toogoolawah patchwork group. A very lovely day out despite the freezing wind. One of the ladies had a trailor full of patchwork goodies to look at. I picked up a couple of gadgets & buttons.
After lunch we all then went to a patchwork shop in a shed on someone's property.  All i bought there were some boxes for my DMC threads. Sunday back to cooking. :)
Lumberjack cake,
fantail muffins,
Tim Tam balls. So yummy. Today i finally finished my runner which was supposed to be done for 1 Xmas item a month. Better late than never.
Pattern by Gail Pan.
