FNwF September

Well i did sign up but didn't make plans. I just hoped for the best. Yes i did get done what should've been done during August - get the binding on 2 quilts. So they'll have to be September finishes now.

On went Human Nature followed by Elvis & i was set for a day of sewing. I spent several hours making binding

1st up was the Churn Dash quilt, this was put together back in 2014

Next quilt was the red & black star quilt. I think i put this together 2 years ago.

Then last night, accompanied by Star Trek Voyager, i hand stitched the binding down. So happy 2 of the nearly 20 flimsies are now done & dusted.

My slow week

Day 13 & 14 of the 100 days 100 hexies. I'm behind by about 3 days now due to a migraine.

Finished my 8 Icecream Soda blocks

and prepped this months Round We Go blocks

I managec to get 1 block 3/4 done before i was out for 2 days. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it & start another tonight.

The next hexie in 100 hexies 100 days

As i've been making the hexies for 100 days of hexies i remembered that i wanted to start making some up for a hexie star quilt. Here is the first 10

Now I've just got to make a start on the equilateral triangles that join them.

Day 11 hexies &

 Day 12 of hexies. Bella has been very helpful this week by assisting me sewing row 7 on Purplicious Mischief,  cutting out backing fabric & being a hexie display stand. 😄😄.

Just so you know i haven't been just working on my EPP projects I've been stitching this on & off for a while.

My week so far

Some fabrics arrived yesterday so i prepped a few coffins. As i was trying to get a decent shot i was photobombed

I've joined in making 100 hexies in 100 days. I had a lot of hexies cut out & left over from when i was making the Vignette Hexagon Quilt. I now have a good excuse to get them made up & turned into something. Here is the first 7

Its already up to day 9 so i made the next 2 today.

More fabrics for my coffins arrived today so i spent a lovely afternoon prepping them

I totalled these with the ones from yesterday & last Friday & they came to 154. My overall total is now at 645.

FNSI August

I make plans but as usual they get thrown out the window. So next month maybe i won't sign up for the sew-ins or make plans. :). lol. I had wanted to get binding made for a quilt i recently had quilted but my daughter asked me to watch the youngest GS for a few hours. Sew what did i do for FNSI? I cut out more fabrics for my Coffin quilt.

Turned them into 70 more coffins

The inner ring are from fabrics swapped with me & the outer from my own fabric collection. Next up after the GS went home was to work on Purplicious Mischief. I added these last 3 blocks to row 7

Then i managed to make a start to adding that row to the top.

Only 1 block was connected before bed called me.
