Birthday Block Update

These beautiful blocks have arrived in the last 2 weeks. I'm hoping to put the top together soon.

 As all my sewing this month is secret this is all i can show you that is finished. Next time i get an a brilliant idea someone give me a severe talking to please. I saw this pattern at the craft show & thought it would ideal for what i wanted to do to give to friends at Xmas.

They really don't take all that long to make though. :) Just fiddly being so small & there is 30 of them.

FNSI

Last night i joined Wendy & lots of lovely other ladies for FNSI. Well yesterday & last night actually. I'd spent the 2 previous evenings making a block up for the Bonnie & Camille sampler swap but i wasn't happy with it. When laid out it looked great but sewn together...no. So some reverse sewing was in order. Oh who am i kidding. A lot of reverse sewing meaning i took nearly all the block apart.

I'm a lot happier now with the layout. You can actually see that they are supposed to be cat's heads. Next i was desperately playing catch up with a Christmas sew along. I did catch up but upon getting up this morning found another block posted. :~

Off to the sewing room now to make the block & a bag. Once that is done i hope to get some other BOM's caught up, started on ect. Oh & a table runner i was supposed to make in a sew along a few weeks back but that plan also went out the window.

My week

I can't show much of my sewing as it's all secret. I'm running behind on my BOM's i've been working on which is frustrating as i'm trying very hard to keep up. I've managed to get this one done though,

the 6" sampler. Yesterday i made the 2 block for November for the Bonnie & Camille Sampler BOM

Hopefully next week i'll catch up on my BOM's & start another BOM. A 6" sampler BOW run by Rose of Threadbare Creations. I'm way behind as week 4 has just been posted.

Signing up for FNWF last week i discovered i was the winner of October's sew in. Lovely Cheryll sent me these beautiful goodies.

Thankyou so much Cheryll. Love my goodies.

Recently i asked Joanne, my gorgeous friend in England, if she would make me some hare earrings with purple beads. 24 hours later they were on their way to me along with a surprise. You see the earrings are a birthday present to myself & the surprise was from Joanne for my birthday.

My lovely surprise was a matching hare pendant. Thanks Joanne love them.

I joined another BOM this week. It's a Quilty Fun BOM for Xmas. I wasn't going to but after seeing all the lovely photo's of blocks popping up i succumbed. :)

The first 5 blocks. I was way behind & sent Wednesday afternoon/night catching up to everyone. That's it from me for now. I'll be back tomorrow with a birthday block up date.

Lest We Forget

Friday Night With Friends.

Last night our lovely hostess Cheryll hosted FNwF. I can't believe it came around so fast. A busy sewing day for me. During the day i worked on 2 table runners. I can only show one though as the other is for a swap.

After lunch more secret sewing.

Time out for school pick up & to buy these

I love tins. A friend & i have decided we have a tin fetish. I don't care about the contents. I just want the tins. I'd gone to buy 2 Christmas tins but discovered the Rachel Hale tin & bought it instead. Love Rachel Hale. Last night i was a bit slack & just did a little embroidery.

Birthday blocks.

More birthday blocks have arrived over the last 2 weeks along with some lovely fat 1/4's.

The birthday blocks are so beautiful. I love them all. Can't wait to put them all together. I've 22 so far with more to come. Hopefully i'll get to 30 blocks. I can't thank the makers of each block enough for making & sending me a block. It means so much to me.

Being the start of November it was time to sew the next blocks in the Charming Star along & their little babies.

The next block in the 6" sampler was listed the other day

Love Churn Dash. It has to be one of my favourite blocks. The next 2 blocks in Women Of The Bible Quilt were emailed last week & i made those yesterday too.
