My slow week

Day 13 & 14 of the 100 days 100 hexies. I'm behind by about 3 days now due to a migraine.

Finished my 8 Icecream Soda blocks

and prepped this months Round We Go blocks

I managec to get 1 block 3/4 done before i was out for 2 days. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it & start another tonight.

Prep for month 7 Icecream Soda blocks was started this week.

& started number 5.

The next hexie in 100 hexies 100 days

As i've been making the hexies for 100 days of hexies i remembered that i wanted to start making some up for a hexie star quilt. Here is the first 10

Now I've just got to make a start on the equilateral triangles that join them.

Day 11 hexies &

 Day 12 of hexies. Bella has been very helpful this week by assisting me sewing row 7 on Purplicious Mischief,  cutting out backing fabric & being a hexie display stand. 😄😄.

Just so you know i haven't been just working on my EPP projects I've been stitching this on & off for a while.

My week so far

Some fabrics arrived yesterday so i prepped a few coffins. As i was trying to get a decent shot i was photobombed

I've joined in making 100 hexies in 100 days. I had a lot of hexies cut out & left over from when i was making the Vignette Hexagon Quilt. I now have a good excuse to get them made up & turned into something. Here is the first 7

Its already up to day 9 so i made the next 2 today.

More fabrics for my coffins arrived today so i spent a lovely afternoon prepping them

I totalled these with the ones from yesterday & last Friday & they came to 154. My overall total is now at 645.

FNSI August

I make plans but as usual they get thrown out the window. So next month maybe i won't sign up for the sew-ins or make plans. :). lol. I had wanted to get binding made for a quilt i recently had quilted but my daughter asked me to watch the youngest GS for a few hours. Sew what did i do for FNSI? I cut out more fabrics for my Coffin quilt.

Turned them into 70 more coffins

The inner ring are from fabrics swapped with me & the outer from my own fabric collection. Next up after the GS went home was to work on Purplicious Mischief. I added these last 3 blocks to row 7

Then i managed to make a start to adding that row to the top.

Only 1 block was connected before bed called me.

Purplicious Mischief

Since i last posted i've added 2 rows to Mischief. I misread the email about Icecream Soda. The templates were only sent on Monday so still waiting for them to arrive.

The 2 rows on the bottom are the ones from this week. Over half way now & i started piecing row 7 together last night.

Mischief

It is time to work on Mischief again. It's been too long since i touched it. Too busy starting other EPP projects. 😊😊.  I spent 2 afternoons & 2 evenings sewing row 4 together then Thursday evening attaching it to the other 3 rows.

Row 4 is on the right.

Last night i started on row 5. Almost half way to the 10 rows in my quilt. 😂😂.

I'm hoping to have this row attached & number 6 started before the next Icecream Soda templates arrive Monday or Tuesday.

Curiosity

Yesterday i was curious to see how many coffins I'd sewn together & how many are prepped ready to sew. The top has 241 in this photo

I added 3 more to the left side last night. The tray had 250 in it when i took the photo. Both the top & tray have coffins swapped with the online group.

Long way to go to make it 1000 coffins. I'll need to aquire more fabrics to add to make sure i don't double up. Then there are the half coffins & the side pieces. Guess I'd better work out an exact plan instead of merrily sewing along.

A quiet Saturday afternoon

I spent a lovely afternoon yesterday watching Hinterland on Netflix prepping more coffins. The inner circle are made from fabrics sent to me by ladies in our online group & the outer fabrics are my own.

Friday Night with Friends August

No a lot done yesterday despite plans to put extra buttonholes on 3 shirts so that cufflinks can be used on them & make binding for a quilt. Hopefully today i can get into my sewing area & do something. Anyway i cut all these rectangles for the coffin quilt

1 pile for me & 1 pile to share. Next up i finished this i made this block for Round We Go

I had completed the other 3 during the week

Now to applique them to the background fabric.
