FNSI June & a Little Sewing

I've been stitching this cute little Christmas decoration through the week. I finished it last night for Friday Night Sew in.
Pop over to visit our lovely hostess Wendy  to see what the other stitchers worked on last night.

Slowly my Trip Around The World is growing. I've another two rows after the one i'm working on now before i add triangles for the final border.

Chookshed party Sunday sewing

I put together some owl stitcheries i was working on end of last year. I was supposed to be an Xmas present now it will be a birthday present next month.
Next project i'd started the stitcheries about 2 years ago & then finished them earlier this year.
First 3 blocks of Tail Feathers

I finished the hearts last night of the quilt from the last post.
Applique from The Guest House By Sue Daley. The quilt is way smaller than it should be due to the blocks not being cut properly when i bought it as a BOM. Tried to take photo outside but it's so windy this was the best i could get. The close ups below i took on my bed.

Well i had fun joining in with Chookyblue to celebrate her Chook Shed's birthday & achieved a fair bit of sewing.

Happy Stitching,

Saturday with the Chookshed party

Joining in with Chookyblue via a virtual retreat i hoped would get me working on ufo's. Yesterday it did. I finished this little hanging off so it didn't become along term project like the quilt did.
This quilt i worked on back in 2008/09 i think. All it need was to be put together the border hearts sen on.
I was hoping to take a photo outside but it's to windy & still a little dull from all the rain yesterday. I've 10 border hearts to go. Now to find what projects to work on today. There's plenty to choose from. :)

Happy Stitching,

Trip Around the World.

I've only been working with my hand piecing this week. I had hoped to be finished but realised i was being overly ambitious with that time frame. I doubt i'll be finished by the end of next week. It takes so long to go around with each row. I've gotten 2 rows on this week & started a 3rd last night. Still 3 more rows to add before i add the final triangle border. I'll end up with 25 rows by then. the photo shows the quilt at 20 rows. I added about half of 21 last night after i took this photo.
Now i'm off to join Chookyblue's virtual stitching weekend to celebrate her Chookshed's 4th birthday.

Happy Stitching,

I made an early start for FNSI hosted by Wendy  . First up were the tiny nine patches. 3" 1- 1/2" I've wanted to make a scrapp...
