Friday Night Sew In October

Well i started my day with this kit. Spitting into a tube(not fun) to have my DNA tested to discover where my ancestors come from. Now to wait 6 to 8 weeks for the result.

Next up was some cooking
Chocolate chip cookies followed by
chocolate chip & banana muffins.

Then last night i started stitching this lovely little hanging
I ironed the transfer on about 2 days ago & it's disappearing on me. :(.

I finished these little ornaments earlier in the week. They were bought precut so they were done in a couple of hours.
Pop over to visit Wendy our very lovely hostess for the links to see who all joined in last night & the projects they worked on.

My Sewing Week

I finished off my Christmas stitchery. Breathed a big sigh of relief when the last stitch went into the dreaded satin stitch.
Needs an ironing. lol. :) Then i needed to find a project to work on as i had none prepared or really fancied anything that might still need to be finished. I found this little cross stitch up
Forgot to press it before gluing it into the card. :(. That is what being exhausted does to you. The brain doesn't want to work. Next i found a Christmas kit i purchased years ago.
Finished these little cuties last night. Now to find another project to work on.

Happy Sewing,

Friday Night with Friends October

I was hoping to work on the borders for the hexie quilt but i had a trip to the orthodontist with my daughter. By the time i got home i didn't feel like sewing. I did however pick up my embroidery last night.
I finished the vine on the top right corner & started the satin stitch. I really hate satin stitch but love the look of it. There is still quite a bit of satin stitch to do.

Pop over to visit our lovely hostess Cheryll to find the links to see what projects were worked on last night.

Happy Stitching,

Stitchery

Whilst i was waiting to get into the patchwork shop to buy the border fabric for the hexie quilt i started this little stitchery.
Love this cute Christmas stitchery. It's from Fig 'n' Berry Creations. The thread i'm using is Hugs 'n' Kisses by Cottage Garden Threads.

I picked up the border fabric during the week. Now to summon the enthusiasm to sew it on. :)

Happy Stitching,

Anzac day 2024

They shall not grow old, as we are left to grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them.  Lest We Forget.
