RSC June & Sewcialites

The "colour" choice for June was pastel. As i don't have pastel colours i went with black.

At least the instructions for this sewcialites block were clear. :)

I'll need to start making the setting blocks soon as there is only 6 blocks left in the sewalong.

Cats & more cats.

When i made up the Tiggy cats last month 1 of my daughters & my GD were eying mine off. As GD"s birthday is coming up i knew she'd love a Tiggy so i spent Saturday making up the 2 Tiggy cats. I went to start sewing them together when i realised i hadn't done the faces & hearts yet. DUH. Fortunately that didn't take to long. :) I used rice in them this time & they both sit nicely.

I created a monster when i made one for my son's MIL. She has now asked if i can upsize Tiggy to twice the size. Hmm i'll see. :) :)

FNSI June

I started the day with Sewcialites block 18. It looks a simple block & it is once you wrap your head around the poorly written instructions.

Next on the list, add borders on the free Christmas bom from Joy I'd bought a fat 1/8 pack of Christmas fabrics several years ago & are ideal for this project.
I usually chuck the cut off triangle out as i know if i kept them i'd have a collection i'd never use.  Yesterday i decided i would make up 2-1/2" squares from them. By the time 9 months goes by that the bom runs i'll have a nice collection which i hopefully will use. :)
Then it was onto finally finishing the embroidery on the witch hat. All that was left were the green bits.
Time to start block 2 of a Fig n Berry Christmas bom. Now the race is on to get it stitched before the iron on transfer fades. :)

Sewcialites 3 Block 17

When i saw block 17 posted this morning i was quite happy as it was a quick & simple block this week.

Had it done & dusted this morning in about 15 minutes before i had to leave for the hairdressers. :)

FNwF June.

My day started with a chiropractor visit then off to Donut King for a free donut along with coffee which wasn't free. :) . Whilst out & about went into Big W in search of this cookbook. I nabbed the 2nd last one.

Earlier in the morning i was scrolling through FB & i noticed this weeks sewcialites block starting to appear so when i arrived back home out came the fabrics to make it so i don't get behind again. :) Block 16. Alas it had flying geese & triangle bits. Lol.
Then onto a little embroidery on the witch hat. At the start of the evening i was still working on the stems on the left side.
Finished that, or so i thought, i then started on the right side but upon taking the photo below this morning i discovered 1 vine still to do on the left. :)

Tackle It Tuesday

Time to catch up on the sewcialites 3 blocks. I was 7 behind. :) I really hope this weeks block doesn't have 1/2 square triangles or flying geese. Just a nice easy block would be lovely.

and all the blocks so far.
Happy Stitching,
