Alas my machine will be away for 4 weeks so definitely no machine work unless i break out the Featherweights. No new machine as the shop has gone out of Janome brand. All Berninas now & 1 Juki. all well beyond my price range. :( So hand work it is. I finished this last night & started number 5 in the bom
Well the nine patch top is done but in hindsight i should've gone 7 x 8. I was trying to use up the blocks but i've 6 over as i felt another row would be to long. Still it's a nice size to be donated to someone in need. That will be it for sewing now as my machine is having an issue so off to the sewing machine guy to have it seen to. Might have a looksee at the machines whilst i'm dropping of my machine . :) :)

As all the blocks for RSC were done i hoped to get 2 tops together yesterday. I only managed 1 as the cross blocks gave me a problem. Yes they all look like crosses but they need to be sewn a certain way for them to meld together correctly. So it was rip, rip with Jack the ripper. You can see what i mean in the photo below. The pink was wrong. I had 4 colours to reverse sew. :(
No colour was suggested for October so i decided on brown. Yesterday i pulled out all my brown fabrics & set to making all the blocks.
