National Jelly Roll Day.

 The 3rd Saturday of September is national jelly roll day & i remembered to participate this year. :) I've had this Cotton Way jelly roll by Bonnie & Camille for many years & it was time to use it up. The pattern is Chill Out by Zen Chic & is free from The Fat Quarter shop.

FNSI September

 I had planned lots of sewing yesterday clearing out ufo's to get them ready to quilt All started off fine adding borders to these two runners

but when i went to get scrap batting & backing out of the drawers it's stored in i discovered ants. So i sprayed & cleaned up that mess. But it wasn't the end. I discovered all 6 drawers were infested. Not a small set of drawers either. I had to chuck some of the wadding as ants were stuck to it. In the end i dragged to drawers outside & gave it another good spray. 

That done i could get the above runners put together ready to quilt. I grabbed another ufo out & had it ready for the hand stitching in the evening.

Those little stockings were so fiddly. :)

Here it is finished

I started to quilt 1 of the runners then remembered i need to add french knots to the ric rac. Luckily i used glue to stick it together so an easy fix.

So that was my FNSI day. :) :)

 An early start with Joy's latest block in the sampler sew along

next up a table runner i had stitched a while back. It only need borders to move it along to the quilting pile.

The little stitcheries for this folder have also been done a while.

Putting the folder together took a wee bit longer than expected which meant i didn't get anymore of my ufo's moved along. :(

Cushion covers

Quite a few year back, i'm embarrassed to admit, my daughter bought some Dr Who & Star Trek fabric & asked me to make some cushion covers. Well yesterday was the day (finally) to so something with that fabric. :) :) there was enough in each piece to make 2 covers. Nothing fancy, just some simple covers..

Rainbow Scrap Challenge September

 I celebrated the first day of spring by getting this months RSC blocks done. :) a bit annoyed the camera has made some of the purples look like a different colour.
