Chookshed Stitchers Challenge update.

 Number 10 for me was kits & small ufos. I started with some kits

These 2 are from the same kit, scissors are to show how tiny the bauble is.

The stocking nearly ended up in the naughty corner but i persevered to finish it. :)

Next up the small ufo's

this was actually from a bag but although patterns by the designer are lovely she really didn't write patterns all that well. As i had troubles with it out went the pattern & the little cat into a hanging. The pieced border is from last months challenge that didn't end up working out.

these 2 were finished many years ago but i didn't like the patterns so i pulled them apart They've been waiting for quite a few years to be turned into something else.. The snowman was a cushion cover but is now a mat. The stitcheries in the hanging were side by side. I much prefer them this way. :)

Potato Chips

 Third project for RSC is started. I made up the potato chip blocks yesterday,

These projects still aren't making much of a dent in the scrap pile. :)

FNSI February

I had a nice early start to my day. First thing to do was get out the scrap basket of blues to make this months RSC blocks. Fabrics chosen time to start lots of cutting out. :)

First to be made were the little button blocks

moving along to the kite blocks

I had wanted to add a 3rd project to RSC but couldn't decide. After seeing a potato chip block/quilt i decided on that as it was on my "make one day" list. I only go so far as cutting them out. :) I hope to sew them today.

In the evening i finished of the embroidery on this. Just a few french knots & some satin stitch was all that was needed.

Now to make up the stocking. Last project of the day was to start a Lucy block

Little Hearts

 All 14 hearts made just in time. :)

Now to see what Kathleen makes with hers & decide if i'll do the same or make something up myself.

FNwF February

  For FNwF I went through my kits looking for simple. I found 2 that fit the part as i can't do a lot with my right arm at the moment having a bcc cut out in right shoulder makes for limited movement.  These 2 i could easily trace the stitching & do a little embroidery without stressing the stitches.

It pays to read instructions. I had traced out the panel for the top of the stocking only to discover it was in the wrong spot. Luckily the pen soaks out. :)

& prepped the next 2 hearts.

one of which is sewn down. I finished the reindeer but my choice of thread wasn't a good idea

then moved onto the panel from the table runner

Bauble ornament finish & little hearts

 Another kit ticked off my list. 5 sided bauble ornament by Hatched & Patched which i bought many, many years ago & would drag out every now & then to stitch & then be put away again. So yay its now done & dusted. :) :)

 I have joined in with Kathleen Tracy to make 14 hearts for the next 14 days. These little hearts aren't about just about Valentines day.

To quote Kathleen  "sending out a little love into the universe to combat all of the hatred, negativity and cruelty that seems to be going around lately. I believe that quilters should use their art/creativity to shine a light and encourage others with compassion and love. Make a little heart, show you care".

These are my first 3

They are only tiny & quick to make. The background fabric is 3-1/2".

The little finish is part of my Stitchers challenge for this month. 1 down umpteen to go. :) :).

A nice quick easy project to do.
