FNSI - February

My project of choice to work on yesterday was the first 2 blocks from The Splendid Sampler
Hearts All A Flutter by Pat Sloan.
Wings by Jane. I had chosen a range of fat 1/4's for the project but yesterday decided that i would use up my Bonnie & Camille scraps.

Last night i added a few stitches to this
The 9th Brutus. It was a free BOM several years ago by Red Brolly called Catalicious. I only had 3 left to stitch but i just put it aside & never finished it. My aim this year is to get those UFO"s finished. :)

Thankyou Wendy for being our lovely hostess again. Pop over here to find links to who all worked on projects yesterday.

Happy Stitching,

  7. Your blocks are lovely! I'm avoiding that Splendid Sampler as I have far too many UFO's already, lol....but waiting for Jenny's block. I love the Red Brolly block. I think I have that saved for someday too....sigh.

  10. Good work on your blocks and how cute is Brutus!! I'll be heading your way in a couple of weeks when I head to Rosewood to pick up Dad who has decided to move all the way down to the Vic country side to be closer to us.

  11. I like your Splendid Sampler blocks, the fabrics are lovely. I'm still working on the second block and seem to be having the same "problem" as you: the pieces are so tiny that even a very small scale print hides the butterfly wings. Still, like I said, your fabrics and colors are so lovely I don't really care. So I'll just finish mine, and maybe make another later, with plain fabric for the wings, or a bigger contrast... we'll see!
