I made my blue circles & cracker box blocks earlier in the weekI had planned to sew for FNSI but i really lack any enthusiasm to sit & sew. I pottered around for a while then dragged out the Lucy box to prep some more blocks. Some yummy fabrics had arrived during the week that i wanted to add into the blocks.
I got this block done
Started this one when interrupted by my brother in his search for a new house (he doesn't have internet)
Then the day went down hill. The dog needed to see the vet & the news was not good. Here we are waiting for my daughter to get to the vets from work to make the decision on what to do. Sadly it was decided to put Nymeria to sleep. She was 11 years old. :( :(.I finished the last of the five prepped in the last zoom i was on & wanted to lay them out to see how many more i need to make to fit a queen size bed. I have 30 so maybe another 10 or more. I'd better get cracking on making the filler blocks up too. :)
Trying to get a decent photo was a little hard. Especially when the dog & cat decided they need to walk through. :)
Happy Stitching,
........again. :)
Weeks 20 & 21
It was a wee bit cold yesterday which creates havoc with my osteoarthritis so i just faffed around. Time to clear out the baskets i throw scraps in beside the cutting table & put them into the designated colour baskets & the wadding scraps got good clean out too. :)
After that i made another bowl cosy. I wasn't happy with the first one. This time i cut the squares at 9-1/2" & the wadding at 9" & only used 1 piece of wadding. It went together much better & hold the bowl more snuggly than the 10" square did even with the double wadding that was in it.
Despite being cold & dreary i got up early, fed the cats, made a cup of tea, grabbed my projects & jumped onto zoom to join Chooky in celebrating the Chooksheds 12th birthday.
I spent my day prepping Lucy blocks
......... is number 10. For me that is to quilt my Karma quilt. Fortunately it's only doll size. :)
