It's been a while since i've posted about my hexies. I have been working on & off on the hexies for the Vignette hexie quilt but this week i worked on something different.
I recently saw this as a quilt on a blog & really liked it. I used my 1" hexies for it. I'm still deciding whether to add more hexies in whit around it or just applique it to a background. To see more hexies on one flower Wednesday visit Karen .

Love your butterfly. Have you decided what you're going to make with it?
Love the butterfly! I look forward to seeing what you do with it...
I made a couple of butterflies last fall and have not found a home for them. But I will! Judith, Texas
What a gorgeous thing to do with hexies...looking forward to see waht you decide Jeanette.
Oh my...this is so beautiful...you're so clever!
I spotted a quilt like this a while ago too and have been tempted to give it a go, but I would still like to make a flower one as well... choices, choices.
Very pretty, how nice they would look in a flower garden quilt!
How cute! Another great way to use the hexies.
WOW your butterfly is gorgeous. Will make a great quilt..
Such a pretty design, but I'd think it tedious to sew same-print hexies to one another. Good for you to be tackling this one!
My first thought is always, more is better. That of course gets me into lots of trouble;-) Just one would look lovely as a pillow or hanging on the wall. Look forward to seeing what you do with the lovely and unique butterfly.
blessings, jilly
Jeanette....I saw that quilt too and it is beautiful, as is your purple butterfly!
Beautiful butterfly.
clever would look good in amongst hexie flowers
what a funny idea :-))
Lovely and very clever :)
I made that same pattern given to me by Judy Williams over at the Rockport Quilt Show earlier this year. My color fabric was in black and yellow. I made a smaller version. I have yet to find a home for them. So I have them pin on my project board. I love your butterfly and beautiful fabric. Thanks for sharing...Judith, Texas
