catching up slowly

Another 2 blocks finished from Verandah Views BOM. Slowly getting them all under control. Now working on Wonky Houses. I'm a glutton for punishment though as i've added another BOM to my collection but i couldn't resist.
I've added Stringybark Farm by missymack. Click on button in my sidebar to see her first two blocks. It think they are so cute.

catching up & a finish

Whilst waiting for a chance to get into town to pick up the needed dmc cotton to finish some embroidery i have finally caught up with last months block of Gail Pan's BOM & this months one also . Today i sat down to finish off the little bear wallhanging ready to post away. Now to catch up some of my other BOMS. :). Off to town tomorrow so i'll be able to get the dmc & finish the wallhanging off to give back to my SIL.

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mother Day to all. I hope you have a wonderful day. My book finally arrived Friday after a long wait. So much for pre-ordering to have it early. :(. I've finished reading it. It was a s enjoyable as all the other novels written by Jennifer. Been busy buttonhole appliqueing & embroidering a bear quilt. Run out of a thread i need & wouldn't you know it the store a 2 minute walk away has run out. :(

Redwork Cushion Swap

I can finally post the photo of the cushion cover i made for my partner in the redwork cushion swap. I have issues with satin stitch but i was determined to succeed in getting past my "issues". Yes i did managed to get all the satin stitch done. I enjoyed making this cover that i want to make another one for myself & a matching one from this months Australian Country Threads by the same designer.

redwork cushion

When deciding on patterns for the redwork cushion swap i couldn't choose so made a couple of designs up. This one i've kept for myself. As usual it's a Bronwyn Hayes design. It looks great with the cushion i received & the 2 plain red fabric cushions i have on the lounge. I've made a start on this months project challenge.:)
