I started the day making RSC blocks
after taking a break for lunch i thought i would add the borders to the little tablemat i'd been stitching. Well i should've just stopped at the thinking. I cut the pieces at 6" instead of 10". Putting them aside to hopefully use them in other projects & with the correct size now cut i set to adding the borders. Not as easy as the look. Quite a bit of reverse sewing until they sat right, still not sure a couple of them are right. Oh well it's done now. All ready for some handquilting
all done & ready for the bindingThe Azaleas are blooming nicely this yearThis poor plant i thought it was going to die. I repotted it & gave it some fertiliser & crossed fingers. Up until a few days ago i still thought yep it's going to cark it but low & behold it has blooms happening. Yay. The blooms on it a so pretty it would've been sad to have lost it.
Happy Stitching,

I do like your little Christmas mat. The buttons are a nice embellishment. It should sit fine, now that it is quilted. Your azaleas are pretty, mine are still a little while off flowering. It is always nice to be able to save a cherished plant.
Some pretty projects Jeanette. Sometimes things just need a good repot & a cut back & a feed ... & they come away again. Its great that you could save it. xx
Nice RSC aqua blocks..
Cute Christmas mat.
You’ve got some beautiful colour in your garden. So good you could save the plant.
You had a busy day of it. Lovely to see Spring happening. It's not here yet.
lovely blocks and azaleas...

Lovely collection of teal blocks for the RSC. The placemat came out beautifully.
Nice job on all the aqua blocks. I love the quilting you did on the Christmas piece, especially adding the buttons. Congratulations on saving the plant. I love azaleas. We had tons of them where I grew up in south Alabama. I don't think we can grow them in the mountains.
