Working with felt.

Recently some friends started making come cute little ornaments from felt. Curiosity got the better of me so i investigated & just had to have one.

This arrived several weeks ago & Tuesday night i finally got started.

Finished Santa yesterday then started on

Since he was finished thought i may as well continue on & got this one made

There is also a pink present which is half done but i called it quits & went to bed.

I remembered this month. :) I needed to make a couple of things for swap gifts. Yesterday morning was spent preparing them. Last night doing the applique.

B & C Sampler blocks.

It is the last month for our online Bonnie & Camille Sampler blocks swap to run. Yesterday 1 of the March blocks arrived.

I decided to see how all the blocks i've been sent looked together.

Only 2 blocks left to received & then i'll decide on a layout & what i need to add. 1 February block is missing & quite frankly i'm not sure i'll ever get it.

Trip Around The World

This year at Sunday Stitchers our challenge is to hand piece a trip around the world quilt. Several of us have taken up the challenge. I finally got around to cutting 2" squares Friday & finished the piece of the challenge last night. Oh yes a part of the challenge is to use red/white spot throughout the quilt.

A few things i've been working on

Did this little stitchery last weekend.

It's a lovely free stitchery Jenny is offering us. This is the 2nd in the beautiful quilt.

Somehow missed the post for this block in the 6" sampler. Discovered it when checking out photo's others doing the sampler had posted. All caught up now. :)

A friend is celebrating her 50th this year & has requested teacups for her special quilt. This i my block for her quilt.

Natures Journey - January

January's blocks are done for the Stitch along. Not sure i'm happy with them. I decided against using Astor Manor & went with civil war/repro fabrics. The embroidery thread is vintage rose by cottage garden threads. I also made a change. I didn't want to embroider the date for the quilt so i made another square to applique instead.

Quilt Blocks

Yesterday i finally had some time to sew. I made the February blocks for the Bonnie & Camille sampler block swap.

& the 6" block for a sampler sew along.

I saw this recently on a friends post & decided i wanted one too. :)

Hopefully today i can get some things prepared for stitching & applique.

Sunday saw me making a few more gifts for the Bonnie & Camille swap then i got lazy & only finished the hand sewing yesterday. No i wasn't really lazy, migraine struck. :(.

Thread basket, teeny tiny pouch, key fob & pincushion. The pincushion pattern cut enough for 2 so i have another ready in the gift basket.

Here it is with my ufo pincushion finally finished after several months.

the other 2 sides of the mouse pincushion. Now i finally have my own. :)

Yesterday i went to my LQS as they are having a 2week sale. I picked up these for Natures Garden

Friday Night Sew In

Last night was time for this years first FNSI. My that time came around so quickly. As much as i love the sewing along it means another month has raced by all to fast. :(

I finished this cute little stitchery from Gail Pan. It was a freebie offered at Christmas through a blog hop.
