Friday Night With Friends & sewing

I managed to get a bit done. No last minute happenings to change plans. Hooray. First off i cut these out
400 x 2" squares & 50 odd assorted sizes of the pink/cream in the front for part 8 of Natures Journey. Next i cut out the borders for Jenny's free BOM she offered over the last 9 months, The Vintage Kitchen.
Time to rest as "Arthur" doesn't like it much when i do so much cutting & standing. :) Then last night i finished block 9 of Wendy's free BOF. This is my version.
That done i did some more stitching on this
Monday i wanted to finish an embroidery into a wallhanging to have a last finish for August but it wasn't meant to be. I added the borders,
not sure if i like the fabric i chose now, then i couldn't find the staple gun but then the canvas is too wide at the sides. I need to find a 1/2" wide board. Not very readily available it seems.

Tuesday i made a start on a bag for my sister
& there is sits waiting patiently. Why you ask? because i got this far & the machine said no more so it's now with the machine doctor being fixed. I wish i had a 2nd machine as i've lots of sewing to do.

I also finished part 9 of Jenny's bom this week
So that is my week.

Pop over to visit Cheryll's blog to find the links to see what the other lovely ladies who joined in last night worked on.

Happy Stitching,

You have had a very busy week Jeanette! Part 8 of Natures Journey is proving a problem for me - and all the others I see finished seem to have breezed through it. Hope it is the same for you!!

You managed to get a lot done even though you don't have a a machine....
Do hope I can get home in time to cut and sew all those blocks for NJ this month... I saw the finished quilt in the flesh today at The Home Patch in Bathurst...lots great.
I am two blocks behind with my Vintage Kitch as I didn't have anywhere to download and print while on the road...:(

Pretty productive considering the issue with your machine. I hope they are quick with it.

What a gorgeously busy week you've had! Lovely squares you've chosen :) Love the fabric for Vintage Kitchen, and wow you're even up to date with the blocks, well done :) The bag is lovely, hope the Doctor heals your machine quickly (and cheaply!) for you!

#4 Chookshed Stitchers Challenge.

At the start of March i had this pile of blocks. I couldn't get my head around how to turn all these differing block sizes into a quilt...
