My Week

Little sewing early in the week except embroidery. Wednesday was a different prospect altogether. It was the day to tackle the final 4 borders for Natures Journey before the end of September deadline in the SAL. Unfortunately it is only a top & not quilted. :(
By 2:30 when i'd finished sewing for the day i'd added the 9_patch borders which i'd sewn together that morning & the pieced applique borders. Nothing on TV that night so at 6:30 i decided to machine sew rather than embroider & added the last 2 borders. By 9:30 i had a quilt top.

Friday i worked on the last blocks for my Bonnie & Camille Sampler swap. The 2 September blocks had to be done & whist there i figured i do the 1 for October & post it as well. With 12 people in the swap we each had 11 blocks & 1 to make for ourselves so i whipped up my block as well.
I realised Friday was the 25th & i hadn't finished my Xmas project. The embroidery had been done for quite a while so i set to & completed the little project.
Friday i had received the last block in the Bonnie & Camille sampler swap & i thought to myself "don't put these away, turn them into a quilt tomorrow". So i did. Here's my Saturday sewing

I did think of making more blocks for a bigger quilt but i knew darn well if i put them away it would be ages & ages before i ever made the blocks & the quilt.

Also on Saturday i made 6 tags for fat 1/4 birthday presents.
Traced out these embroideries

The bottom 2 are from Jenny's free Christmas stitchery. The top stitchery is for a friends 70th birthday quilt which the them is teapots & here it is
During the week i also worked on these little ornaments.
Maybe i'll have them ready early for posting on the 25th of next month on the 1 item blog. :)

Happy Stitching,

#4 Chookshed Stitchers Challenge.

At the start of March i had this pile of blocks. I couldn't get my head around how to turn all these differing block sizes into a quilt...
