Things didn't go according to plans. :) I thought i'd better actually finish the 4 little projects from April Chookshed challenge. Yeh i know but better late than never.
First up was this tiny needlecase
Curse of a thing to sew into the handle. I had to bend the needle to try & get it through those holes. Which took me way longer to sew than i thought. Oh i recommend not using iron on hexies. They came with the pattern so i thought i would use them up. Should've chucked them in the bin.
The next project did end up in the bin. Iron on hexies for the back of the scissor holder made it to stiff to fold over the wadding plus it had to be trimmed into a certain shape & in a spot or 2 very little seam to turn over. Lack of directions didn't help.
The other project, is on hold as it is to be sewn into a handle which i didn't look forward to. :). My fingers have holes where they didn't before. :)
Moving along to the 4th project was this sewing folder.
It needed the quilting done & the rather costly magnet added.
Pop over to lovely host Cheryll to see who joined in.
Happy Stitching,

Your needle case is very cute but I feel your pain! I have to be in the right mood to tackle one of those frames but am always pleased with the result. I have not come across iron on hexies but will make a note to avoid them if I do.
The sewing folder is a lovely finish too, looks very useful. xx
What. Disappointment for you. What you did achieve is cute.
Good on you for persevering with the needle case I would have binned it but your fish looks great.
Nice sewing folder .
the purse ended up lovely even though it was fiddly...

Very frustrating - the folder came out well though
Adorable sewing folder. Love all the hexies involved. Hate when a project goes awry even when it's operator error. Even worse when the directions aren't very clear oraccurate. Hope the rest of your weekend has worked out great!
So sorry the needle case was pain but it is adorable. I really like the sewing folder.
Love the folder, shame the needle case was so difficult. I would love to use a handle like you have but have heard before how hard they are to sew in.
