FNSI June

I started the day with Sewcialites block 18. It looks a simple block & it is once you wrap your head around the poorly written instructions.

Next on the list, add borders on the free Christmas bom from Joy I'd bought a fat 1/8 pack of Christmas fabrics several years ago & are ideal for this project.
I usually chuck the cut off triangle out as i know if i kept them i'd have a collection i'd never use.  Yesterday i decided i would make up 2-1/2" squares from them. By the time 9 months goes by that the bom runs i'll have a nice collection which i hopefully will use. :)
Then it was onto finally finishing the embroidery on the witch hat. All that was left were the green bits.
Time to start block 2 of a Fig n Berry Christmas bom. Now the race is on to get it stitched before the iron on transfer fades. :)

Happy Stitching,

Some lovely projects you are working on Jeanette. Love the fresh fabrics you are using. No that does NOT look a simple block to me - I struggle with even very basic quilt blocks. 😉 xx

Great work and a good lot done. I am sure you will use those bonus blocks - think border or backing. xx

You had some really nice projects to work on for FNSI. I agree, the Sewcialites block pattern was poorly written. They could have labeled the pieces better. It took me a bit to work through the instructions but it went together fairly quickly after that. Your witch's hat is stunning!

RSC June & Sewcialites

The "colour" choice for June was pastel. As i don't have pastel colours i went with black. At least the instructions for this...
