My week

I made 10 more blocks for Mischief

My friend posted the little Klosjes to me so i put them together

There were another 2 with them but my friend had already sewn them together. I have 18 now. Still not sure i want to make a big quilt with them. :)

finished this block last night & started this one

Hopefully the next installment of Ice Cream Soda arrives Tuesday so i can get them done. I also need to prepare more Mischief blocks & the joining pieces.

FNwF, April

During the week i added the last 2 rows to my pink, green white EPP quilt. I was short 2 pinks & i went with a suggestion of finding a pink that would "blend" in. Thursday i cut all the squares to fill in the triangle gaps along the side. I added 1 row Thursday night. For FNwF i managed to get the last 3 side done.

It looks a bit odd as i haven't trimmed the squares back yet or added the pieces to the corner. I went with filling in the triangle gaps rather than applique to a border. I am still adding a border i just need to go shopping. :)

I now have 29 shapes for Mischief. Still a long way to go to 100.

My stitchy week

I've been stitching another Gail Pan Christmas project which i finished earlier in the week.

After that i prepared more blocks for Mischief

The black & which pieces are the joining pieces for the purple blocks.

After that i went with a suggestion of using a different pink fabric for the last 2 rows in my pink, green white epp quilt as the lady i bought it from was short 2 pieces. So now when i add the last 2 rows i've only green octagons left over. Yay.

The lozenge shape papers were really wrecked by the time i got this far so i was lucky i have a Lucy Boston quilt i could pinch some from. Just have to remember to put them back. :) I prepped all these for a trip away next week. Not sure if i'll be going now thanks to all the flooding from Cyclone Debbie.

I felt like adding embroidery to my projects & found up a cute Fig 'n' Berry project.

The red ran unfortunately & i had to soak it. I had a little though running around that the fabric looked a little different. Yes it does. Grrr. The pieces were a cream tone on tone but now after soaking the finished piece looks white. As the red runs the other 4 embroidery pieces will most likely look white too.

Thursday i didn't feel like either EPP or embroidery so what did i do. You guessed it i started another project. This time hand piecing. I've wanted to make these for years & as i've all the scraps out for Ice Cream Soda quilt i decided to make a start.

I've been making 3" Klosjes (spools). I mentioned that it might be just a table runner & a friend told me "no go for a big quilt".  She did & it's beautiful but hers is 60" by 60" & used 400 Klosjes. We'll see. She did however have some left over & is sending them to me which i greatly appreciate. As much as i love handpiecing it's slow going & 400 is quite alot.

My week....

.....was busy with the 8 blocks from part 2 of Icecream Soda quilt.

It's going to be a very scrappy quilt. I sure hope all the blocks work together we we find out how it all goes together.

Needed to have a change for a while so i traced out a stitchery to do.

They are 3 little Christmas hangings by Gail Pan.

FNSI March

No green sewing for me yesterday. :) I hope everyone had a fabulous Saint Patrick's Day

For FNSI i prepped blocks for my Mischief quilt. It will be an all purple quilt with the joining blocks(hopefully) in a white with black dragonflies & black with white dragonflies. I managed to get 3 full blocks & the 4th mostly sewn together last night.

Since my last post about the Mischief blocks i've made all these

I've a total of 20 blocks done. 80 left to go. :) I need to work on Ice Cream Soda quilt now as the pieces for the next 8 blocks have arrived.

During the week i managed to finish off this little stitchery.

Epp quilt

I've gone as far as i can with this quilt, that is with the piecing. I added 2 more rows this week hoping for 4 but i discovered i was 1 pink piece short. Now my dilemma is do i add the white floral into the triangle spaces then border fabric or just applique top straight onto border fabric.

During the week i made 5 more blocks for my Mischief quilt. Totalling 7 blocks with the 2 from last weeks post. Just need about 93 more blocks now. :) I'm hoping i have enough purples to not use the same one twice but i don't think i have that many different purples. :)

Then i put Mischief aside to work on Icecream Soda.

All 8 blocks done before the next part arrives. They take so long these blocks. I was only getting 1 done a night until i started watching Netflix & then i'd get 2 done & a 3rd started. :)

New EPP project. March FNwF

Although my white fabric arrived for the project in the previous post i just haven't had a chance to get it cut up. I'd been working on a stitchery project whilst waiting for the fabric & EPP shapes to arrive but last night i made a start on a quilt called Mischief by Karen. The shapes arrived earlier this week. I managed to make almost 2.

Slow going EPP

I'm still growing my EPP project. Last night i added the other half of the last row.

I then prepared the pieces for the next row

I'm not officially out of white pieces but there isn't enough left to do anything with. I was going to leave it there, add a border & maybe use it as a table runner but then i'd have a pile of green & pink shapes over. So i will go to Spotlight & my LQS & see if i can find a white homespun. I should have enough of the floral white for 2 maybe 3 rows more if i can find the white homespun. After that i think i need to do some embroidery or applique whilst i wait for my 2 new EPP projects to arrive though i do have another new one ready to start along with working on Lucy Boston. Time to work out a program to follow so it's jusy not all EPP. :)

FNSI February

Nothing exciting happened with my FNSI. I'm still working on my EPP project. I'm really trying to finish a project before starting anything new. I normally wouldn't sew a project this way but when you don't exactly have a pattern & no idea what was cut out by the lady i bought it from i have to wing it.

I managed to prepare all those little squares & sew on the row above them. I've figured i've enough to make it this size plus 1 more row on the bottom. Then i'm out of the white fabric & very little left of the white print. But i'll have heaps of the pink & green shapes left over. Maybe i could do a few more rows around using different white fabrics. I'll have to see as not very big even if i add a border or.

My latest project.

The EPP i started working on last week is slowly growing.

No much this week as i was out with a migraine for several days. I'm not sure how big this will be as i bought it in a destash. Partly started & the shapes all cut. I'm hoping it will be lap size at least. Thinking about it last night i'll have to see if i can find a similar white fabric to fill in the triangle shapes or just some border fabric to applique it down to.
