Friday Night Sew In......
....started early for me to hopefully finish a quilt top i've been working on for the better part of the week. The heat hasn't been good for sitting & sewing. Sometime in the last 10 years i bought the fabrics to make my son another quilt. Cut it all out & yep you guessed it, straight into a box. Seems i have a thing for putting fabrics/ ufo's in boxes. Lol. 4 years ago at quilt retreat i took the box & made up all the blocks & yes back into that box they went until this week.
This pattern was in a Homespun magazine many years ago. I just love the churn dash block. Another ufo has made it to the flimsy stage. YAY. Slowly ticking off UFO's which is making me very happy. Now if i can only find the buttons needed for today's UFO.

Not sure how it got to be the 3rd Friday of the month yesterday but it was. Friday was a busy one for me. I made 10 more blocks for Ladder ...

Good for you working on an old UFO! My goal this year is to empty out all my many project tubs. I have two empty so far! Well, one I've now filled up with pincushions, but it still counts! LOL

ReplyDeleteChurn dash is my all time favourite block, Jeanette. In fact, you just jogged my memory...I have about 26 of them waiting in a box to be added to for a bed quilt. I think I started it back in 2009....naughty me. They must feel quite neglected.

Jeanette I just read your blog posts for this year... WOW you certainly have been busy. I thought I was going good starting and finishing eight projects for the magazines. My new year's resolution was to finish items and write the instructions straight away. So far so good... hey but it is only February... LOL
